LASAGNA DINNER

Most of us are pretty tired of the snow and cold by now, but at least we have the comfort of warm meals on the table to sustain us. This isn't always the case in the neighborhoods around Reformation Church. Some folks there would appreciate a few "tummy warmers," such as soups, stews, chilies, spaghetti, hamburger helper meals, etc. To encourage your donation of these items, I will be preparing a pan of my own yummy, tummy-warming lasagna for the lucky winter of a drawing. When you drop off food for Reformation's Food Pantry, simply fill out the little form for name and phone number found near the containers for Reformation's Food Pantry in the side entryway to our church and drop it in the box provided. Maybe you will be the lucky someone contacted for an evening of free cooking! (By June Gumm)

PICK 'N SAVE "WE CARE" PROGRAM

Reminder: Resurrection Lutheran Church can receive "We Care" return of 1% on money spent at Pick 'n Save if members present their store card when shopping there. The number needed to direct this monetary return to the church is 663500. Please consider visiting the Customer Service area in the store to arrange for a card that uses this number if you don't already have one.

NURTURE & NOURISHMENT FOOD PANTRY CHALLENGE

Foundation of Rhode Island will divide $1 million among hunger fighting agencies nationwide using it to help them raise funds during March and April 2008. All donations given to Reformation for the Nurture & Nourishment Food Pantry between March 1st and April 30th will be used for the challenge grant. Checks can be written directly to Reformation noting that the gift is for the pantry.

Feinstein's past $1 million challenges to fight hunger have raised a record $620 million for agencies nationwide. Your donation toward this campaign makes you a partner in a successful grassroots campaign to fight hunger!
