Pastor Mary
Dear Members and Friends of Resurrection,
You are receiving this newsletter later than expected because our
computer "crashed" and the whole template had to be recreated.
Things don't always go as planned!
That happens in our own lives, too. Sometimes we make plans
and everything turns out differently--sometimes better, sometimes
worse.
Through it all, we learn that we are not in control of very much.
How we handle that realization often determines how we face life.
We can become depressed and afraid--anything can happen, we
think, how can I stand it? Or we can become grateful and fearless--
whatever happens, we think, God will be with me and give me the
strength I need to handle it.
Resurrection is certainly not what the disciples expected after crucifixion.
Do we? When something horrible happens, when it looks
like death has the last word, do we still look and listen for a word of
life?
Easter is on its way. Good Friday will come first. My friends, let's
encourage each other to live through Good Friday with our hearts
open for the good news of Easter.
Death does not have the last word. Not ever. Jesus is alive and
among us. Alleluia!!!
Fear not, good news is among us!
