RLC is About Family!
It is the people of the congregation at RLC that makes our church at the corner of 124th Street and Coldspring Road come to life. The RLC family is of a diverse group of individuals that come together to live our collective vision: Celebrating God's Grace Through Worship, Nurture and Outreach.
Our church family is made up of all ages, from families with children to many singles and couples from newlyweds to empty nesters to life partners. This diversity weaves a rich, colorful tapestry and helps makes our church family so strong and inviting to all people.
RLC is About Worship!
Founded in 1968 and grounded in tradition, RLC also explores new directions in worship with an excellent music program. Our flexible sanctuary allows for easy rearrangement, enabling the layout to be changed during different seasons. And while our worship services follow a traditional pattern, they often incorporate new directions in format, music and even dance.
RLC is About Nurture!
At Resurrection, our focus is split between our own congregation and the assistance of others. Internally, RLC provides youth, teen and adult Christian education through Sunday school, Confirmation Classes and periodic adult instruction. Youth are a cornerstone of our family and additional programming is provided for teens, including participation in national conferences and special trips. A cooperative Summer Bible Camp with St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish helps round out our youth programs.
Beyond youth, RLC members of all ages participate in other special programs and events including prayer chains, game nights, dart ball leagues and other activities.
RLC is About Outreach!
Located literally at a crossroads, RLC is a multi-community congregation, involved in many programs such as Habitat for Humanity and The Blood Center of Southeastern Wisconsin. RLC also maintains a relationship with The Church of the Reformation, an urban Milwaukee ELCA congregation, as well as participating in synod relief programs such as the Mt. Meru Coffee Project, benefiting people in Tanzania. These partnerships and others help RLC to further live the outreach aspect of our congregation's vision.
